Moon Valley Kitchen Remodel
This Moon Valley “before” space had SO much potential, but had several “newer additions” like an odd peek-through from the family room into the kitchen. We repurposed that into an arch, and tiled the entire thing with a neutral zellige. It adds so much visual interest and is a clear homage to the era it was actually built in. For this kitchen remodel, we embraced the challenge of three distinct entry points and a den archway offering a sneak peek. The mission? To create focal points that captivate, harmonize, and delight—without ever stealing the spotlight from one another. Our clients wanted a neutral, minimal kitchen with touches of Spanish Revival and Modern Organic. Vor this renovation we updated all the cabinetry fronts, rebuilt a custom white oak island, with 3 distinct different types of hardware.
We also designed their fireplace, which was very much a centerpiece in a combined living/dining room, taking front and center for the dining room table. We knew this wasabsolutely a place to invest in a little makeover! We opted for smoothing the fireplace facade out, using zellige tile for the base, and a cotto tile in an arched sunburst pattern for the surround. It combined the right neutral elements the clients were seeking without overpowering the space.
